I saw this interesting piece on Huffingtonpost.com; here are a list of the top foods nutritionists won't eat. (I attempted to paraphrase the article).
Let me know what you think!
1. Hot dogs – too many parts. 2. Bugs – delicacies in some places, but not in my mouth 3. Soda – too much sugar (a 12 ounce can has almost 40 grams of sugar) 4. Artificial ingredients – one registered dietitian states, "I won't eat anything that's neon! Basically, if a food or beverage is a color that you can't find in nature -- like electric blue or glow-in-the-dark orange -- I won't go near it. It's one indicator of an artificial ingredient. I always keep it real." 5. Diet Foods – spray butter, whipped topping, and other similar diet food have too many artificial ingredients. 6. Alive – a RD states, “I don’t eat anything that looks like it did when it was alive. 7. Diet soda – diet sodas drinkers actually weigh more than regular soda drinkers (interesting). It has artificial ingredients. 8. Hydrogenated Oils – a RD states, “avoid all hydrogenated oils.” 9. Meat – many RDs are vegetarians.
