Are you eating right and making the right nutritional choices, but still not seeing any significant changes? It could be that your portion sizes are keeping you from getting to the next step. Yes, eating right is vital, but if you are not practicing eating the right portion sizes, you may want to consider this as a new tool in your strategic nutritional arsenal. Today, due to popular demand, everything is bigger. Food, beverages, menu items, plates, etc.; all things are in larger than normal portions. The perception today is that as long as the right items are on the plate we are fine. Don't be fooled. We must not only have the right items on our plate, but we also must have the right amount of each item. An example is brown rice. Brown rice is an excellent and healthier choice for carbs, but weight loss can be deterred if you consume more than your required size. Eating two cups instead of a half of a cup over a week could mean the difference from losing two pounds or possibly gaining two pounds. Don’t let all of your hard work at the gym be in vain. Prosper with proper portion size.
